Lakeland Family YMCA Campus Transformation
The Lakeland Family YMCA Campus Transformation is underway!
A Message from our CEO
Here is a message from the YMCA of West Central Florida's CEO, Natalie Dyal
Thanks to generous support from the Community, we are ready to begin a three-year project to expand and transform the Lakeland Family YMCA on Cleveland Heights Boulevard. Once completed, these improvements will create a better, more vibrant YMCA that will benefit all our members. The Y will remain open during the construction project and our dedicated team is working very hard to minimize any disruptions to services. Here is what you can expect during this transformation:
Enhanced Facilities: Our goal is to provide you with state-of-the-art fitness areas, updated locker rooms, expanded program spaces, and more.
Additional Parking: We've heard your concerns about parking availability. To address this, we will be increasing the number of parking spaces to ensure a smoother experience when visiting the YMCA.
Increased Accessibility: We're committed to making our YMCA more accessible to all members, with improved ramps, elevators, and other features to accommodate individuals of varying abilities.
Expanded Programs: The enhanced facility will pave the way for an even broader range of programs and activities, catering to all ages and interests.
Community Hub: We aim to create a welcoming community hub where members can gather, connect, and build stronger relationships.
The first phase of this project will focus on the parking lot expansion and the construction of a new field house. An expansion of our Child Development Center will follow, and the final phase will be the renovation of the existing building. Completing this work in phases will help minimize the impact on operations. We will continue to keep you informed on any issues that may impact programming at the facility. Please look for future updates by e-mail, social media, and our website www.ymcawcf.org. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions during this period, please don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated team. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to create a better YMCA for you and future generations.
Thank you for being a part of our YMCA community, and we look forward to sharing this transformation with you.
Warm regards,
Natalie Dyal
