Bob Adams Family Community YMCA

What’s New & What’s Next at the Bob Adams YMCA

Exciting progress continues across the Bob Adams Family Community YMCA! Over the past several months, we have celebrated the completion of major projects while continuing to move forward with improvements designed to enhance the experience of our members, families, and community.

Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to make our Y an even better place to belong, connect, and grow.

POOL & AQUATICS UPDATE

Our pool deck renovation is officially complete, and normal aquatics programming has resumed!

Members and program participants are once again enjoying the pool for swim lessons, classes, open swim, lap swim, and other activities. We are still awaiting the delivery and installation of new bleachers and patio furniture, which will provide additional seating and gathering spaces around the pool area.

We are excited to see this newly renovated space back in full use!

CHILDCARE BUILDING COMPLETE

Our new childcare facility is complete, and we celebrated an incredible first summer in the new space!

This summer, our team successfully served more than 300 children through our summer programming. The new facility provided our campers and staff with an improved environment to learn, play, build friendships, and create lasting memories.

We are excited about what this facility will allow us to offer children and families for years to come.

HISTORIC Y BASKETBALL COURTS & PICKLEBALL

Renovations are now underway on the Historic Y basketball courts as we continue revitalizing one of the most recognizable spaces on our campus.

In addition to improvements to the basketball courts, we are excited to announce that the renovated space will include three indoor pickleball courts for member use when youth leagues and other scheduled programming are not taking place.

This addition will create another great recreational opportunity for our members while allowing the Historic Y gymnasium to remain a flexible, multipurpose space.

GROUP EXERCISE IMPROVEMENTS

Our next phase of improvements will include updates to our group exercise rooms.

These additions will help bring the spaces up to date with the rest of our renovated facility and create an improved environment for members participating in group exercise classes and programs.

More information will be shared as these improvements move forward.

WHAT’S NEXT: HISTORIC Y

We are currently finalizing renovation plans for the back portion of the Historic Y, continuing our efforts to create more dedicated spaces for wellness and fitness programming.

Current plans include:
A dedicated Personal Training Studio
A dedicated Yoga Studio
A flexible Multipurpose Exercise Room

These spaces will allow us to expand programming, provide more specialized fitness experiences, and better serve the changing needs of our members.

MOVING US FORWARD

It has been exciting to watch our vision for the Bob Adams Family Community YMCA continue to take shape. From our newly completed childcare facility and pool deck to the improvements underway at the Historic Y, each project is another step toward creating a stronger YMCA for our community.

Thank you to our members, families, staff, and community for your patience and continued support throughout this transformation. We are excited about how far we have come and even more excited about what is still ahead!
