Success Afterschool (Activity Club)
Ages: 5-12 (Kindergarten – 7th grade)

EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP
Leaders Club (ages 13-18)
Builds leadership skills through sports, aquatics, gymnastics or other physical education programs. Become involved through volunteerism and community services.
Youth In Government (grades 6-8 & 9-12)
Build your leadership skills through civic engagement. Youth In Government is a youth-led leadership development program which allows students to experience the workings of state government - all three branches of state government; legislative, judicial and executive. Research issues of state impact, develop legislation, and move that legislation through the appropriate processes to become law. Or, join a law firm and research cases that have been presented to the Florida Supreme Court and argue your side of the case before your peers. Program runs primarily during the school year.

AQUATICS - YOUTH & TEENS
Swimming Lessons (Ages 6 months - 12 years)
The Y believes that learning to swim is critical to the safety and well-being of all. If your child is new to the world of aquatics or your teen would like to use their aquatic skills and learn a new sport like synchronized swimming, there is no better place than the Y to learn! Please see the Reception Desk for a complete list of Aquatic classes.
Parent & Child and Perch Classes (Ages 6 mos.- 3 years) Parents are great teachers for their young child, especially when being “coached” by a trained and certified YMCA Swim Instructor.

Aqua Tots (Ages 3-6)
This is a level 3 class that focuses on beginning competitive swimming skill needed to advance to the Barracuda or Flamingo swim teams.

Aqua Chicks (Ages 6-18)
A beginner synchronized swimming class, this program is designed for kids interested in the sport or simply for recreation.

Flamingo Synchronized Swim Team (Ages 8-18)
A competitive swim team for girls that competes locally, regionally and nationally.

Porpoise Club (Ages 6-13)
An advanced class focused on improving stroke development and increasing strength and endurance. Must have completed level 2 Youth Swim Lessons or be recommended by swim instructor.

Class includes stroke techniques, drills and lap swimming - a great cardio workout!

Boys and girls will swim competitively with this team locally, regionally and nationally once selected after tryouts or completing porpoise club.

Arthritis Water Exercise
Program developed through a partnership between the YMCA and the Arthritis Foundation, designed for those who suffer from arthritis to increase range of motion and strength.

Unique Actions (Ages 5-17)
A class designed for children with special needs to enjoy gymnastics, swimming and informal play groups. For a complete listing of classes please contact the Reception Desk.
Special Pops Saturday Socials (Ages 16 and up)
This program invites participants who are mentally or physically challenged to monthly-themed socials. Totally funded by donors to the Y, “Special Pops Saturday Socials” create a sense of community for some very special people. Participants come from group homes, private homes or on their own with a parent or care-give to chaperone.

Active Adult Luncheons
